Heute möchte ich euch das Buch "Holding Up The Universe" von Jennifer Niven vorstellen. Es handelt sich dabei um ein Buch in Englisch. 

Danke auch an Penguin Random House für diese signierte Version! Ich habe mich wirklich sehr gefreut.

Ich finde die Idee hinter dem Buch wirklich sehr gut, aber irgendwo auch klischee-mäßig. Ein dickes, unbeliebtes Mädchen bekommt am Ende einen beliebten gut aussehenden Jungen, weil sie beide merken, dass sie mit Problemen zu kämpfen haben. Klingt süß, klingt einfach zu lesen und ist aber irgendwie auch vorhersehbar. Die ersten 200 Seiten habe ich wirklich gerne gelesen, aber leider fing dann auch schon die Langeweile an. Ich denke, dass man es locker hätte in 200-300 Seiten beenden können und es nicht unbedingt auf 400 Seiten strecken müssen. Die Story ist aber wirklich sehr nett und hat mir meine insgesamt 8 Stunden Münschen Reise (also hin- und zurück) wirklich versüßt.
